Harris Township Headlines

Harris Township Board of Supervisor's Statement on the Arrest of Christopher Lee

"At this point, this is not a Township matter. The Township will continue to monitor the situation and determine whether or not there is something that we should do. On the advice of our Solicitor, we will have no further comment on this matter."

Brush and Leaf Collection Dates Announced

The Township has scheduled its fall brush and leaf collections.

Brush will be collected the week of October 20th. This is a one time only collection, so please have all brush piled and placed in the right of way in front of your house by 7:30 AM on October 20th.

Leaf collection will begin the week of October 27th. We will collect leaves as long as the weather holds (in years past, we've been able to collect leaves into the beginning of December).

Residents are reminded that they can receive free woodchips or leaves from the Township. To be placed on the list, please call the Township office at 466-6228. Please note that we can't deliver anything less than a full truck load.

Adopt--A-Hydrant Program

The Boalsburg Fire Company is asking for your partnership in its Hydrant Heroes Adopt-A-Hydrant program by adopting a fire hydrant close to your home or business and keeping it free of snow during the winter and free of weeds and shrubbery in the summer. Your participation in this program saves time in the fire company's incident response, and could help save property or even a life. To sign up for the program, please contact the fire company at info@boalsburgfire.com or call (814) 466-7367.
