The October Planning Commission meeting has been cancelled. The next scheduled meeting will be on November 16, 2026.
There will be no e-Update the week of October 12th.
Boalsburg Village Zoning Open House
/in Headlines, NotificationsThe Harris Township Planning Commission will be holding two open houses to gather public input on potential zoning changes in the Village of Boalsburg. Interested residents are welcome to attend, review the recommendations, ask questions, and share feedback. Public input will be considered before any final proposals are forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for consideration. Open houses will be held October 26 at noon and October 27 at 7 p.m. in the Township Meeting Room at 224 East Main Street, Boalsburg.
Potential Office Closing
/in Headlines, NotificationsDue to a planned outage by West Penn Power on Friday, October 15, 2026, there is a potential the Township Office may be closed at some point during the day. It is not known for how long or when it may be closed but we wanted to give the residents advanced notice of the possibility. Due to inclement weather, this outage will be delayed until Monday, October 19, 2026.
Tax bills can be dropped off in the mail slot or the drop box if the office is closed. If you would like a receipt for your bill, please make a note on the bill and a receipt will be mailed to you.
Fall Brush & Leaf Collection
/in Headlines, NotificationsFall brush collection will begin on October 26th . This is a one-time only collection, so please have your brush at the curb by 7:00 AM on the 26th to ensure collection. Please note that it generally takes us about a week to collect brush in the Township, so your pile may sit for a few days until we get to it.
Fall leaf collection will begin officially on November 2nd. However, as time permits, there may be periodic random leaf collection. We will continue to collect leaves until the weather causes us to cease collection or all the leaves have been collected.

Halloween Festival
/in Headlines, NotificationsCome join us for a Halloween festival at the Boalsburg Heritage Museum on Sunday October 25 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. There will be activities for all ages including pumpkin decorating, Book Bingo, along with hot cider and cookies in the Summer Kitchen.
